Week 9 – Recovery is a Choice

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy!”   I am, I am, I am!!!

For a while, I have had a niggling of something that just has not set well with me.  I have ignored it, prioritized something else, or been really busy and forgotten about it, but it remained.

As I embraced each new exercise, refined my DMP, steadfastly and stubbornly claimed my new blueprint, that niggling continued.   What is it?  Why is it?  Ah, forget it, I am doing this come hell or high water……..but what is it?

So here it is.  The beginning of recovery is to ADMIT I have a problem.  This ‘thing’ (sorry, Davene) is from my old blueprint.  The closer I get to parts of my DMP, the more it attempts to take over.  My name is Louise.  I am in recovery and gaining victory from R.I.S.!   Its a start.

Next, Law of Substitution:   We cannot think about 2 things at the same time.  If a negative thought enters your mind ~ try to think about God instead.  If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought.  Jesus, the Master Teacher, said, “Resist not evil” ~ meaning turn from it and think about something else instead.

Admitting is a beginning, but I need to choose to do something about it.  And this is where my gratitude kicks in, big time.  This disease/condition, R.I.S., is completely curable.  Oh sure, it can be masked using whiteout or keeping a lid on your imagination.

I HAVE TOOLS to deal with this.  My tools are masterfully crafted and assembled.  These tools are at my finger tips.  All I need to do is CHOOSE to utilize them.  The cost?  Wholeness, Perfection, Strength, Power, Love, Harmony, and Happiness.  I am so grateful!!!

My R.I.S. didn’t just happen.  I have had it for decades – and I didn’t even know it!!!  I am grateful for the diagnosis, but I am more grateful for the tools to combat it.

I GET to choose to utilize my tools.  I GET to concentrate on my new friend, my authentic self.  I GET to fill my mind with beautiful bright shapes, with thought provoking words that cause my heart to soar, with familiar truths put in the correct perspective, and with the truth that the only way to get love is by giving it, that the more you give the more you will get, and the only way in which you can give it, is to fill yourself with it, until you become a magnet.  (Haanel 9:16)

Niggling feeling, I know what you are.  Niggling feeling, you are being crowded out by, I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.  Niggling feeling, we are done!

I am a grateful, recovering, R.I.S.er.

Happy Season of Gratitude!!!

I like this but I’m curious what specifically does R.I.S. Stand for?

    lewkohl

Hey Linda! Thanks for visiting my blog! R.I.S. – Red Ink Syndrome: the result of school conditioning. Red markings on a paper pointed out the errors. RIS being the focus on failure VS elevating and celebrating success and accomplishments, no matter how small. Blessings!

Linda

Ah, yes, “the solution is dilution.” Just keep affirming & dilute the old patterns to nothingness. Brilliant!

Thank you, Linda. Appreciate the encouragement! Blessings!
